Here at the track, we have several classes of racing to cater to different skill levels and vehicle types.

All cars for practice and racing will be operated with 2 Cell Lipo batteries with a maximum voltage of 8.44 or a maximum of 7 Cell NiMh batteries.

All cars are required to run slick tires.

Dirt Offroad Classes

Sportsman

This class is for people just starting out racing.

Competition level is first race day to early RC development.

1/10th scale 2WD cars and trucks with 17.5 turn brushless or 12 turn brushed motors or slower.

Upgrades and tuning OK.

Super Slash

This class is for people to make use of the most popular starter car out there.

Competition level in this class can range from Sportsman graduate to very competitive depending on the entrants.

12T Titan Brushed motor and XL5 ESC or BL2S motor and ESC are required along with the stock gearbox (no 272R).

Servos and Radio gear can be upgraded.

All Traxxas and RPM replacements can be used as durability upgrades.

Also allowed are the STRC type screw and nut hinge pins as they are a durability upgrade.

13.5 Short Course Truck

This class is for racers, the trucks are fast.

Competition here can range from just out of Sportsman to very experienced.

Closed wheel bodies and full bumpers means a little contact side to side is survivable and the racing can be pretty tight at times.

13.5 turn motors with Blinky mode ESC and trucks must weigh in at 2098g minimum.

13.5 Stadium Truck

This class is for racers, the trucks are fast and responsive.

Competition level is medium to high.  Most people get around the track but the best drivers can really fly.  Open wheel and wide track width makes passing clean a little more important.

13.5 turn motors with Blinky mode ESC and trucks must weigh in at 1701g minimum.

4x4 Mod Short Course

This class is for racers with some entry level learners mixed in at times.

Competition level here ranges from very high to Sportsman graduates.  These trucks range from full race Tekno to Slash 4x4 trucks.  Big power heavyweights driver skill determines if these things are fast or furious.

Open motor and ESC rules, trucks must weigh in at 2505g minimum.

2WD Stock Buggy

This class is for racers who have been at it a while.

Competition levels here are high to very high.  Skilled drivers with fast and numble 2WD cars reward talent with exciting high speed racing.

Standard 2WD buggies with 17.5 turn motor and Blinky ESC, must weigh in at 1474g minimum.

4WD Stock Buggy

This class is for racers who have been at it a while.

Competition levels here are high to very high.  Skilled driver with fast and high bite 4WD cars reward talent with exciting high speed racing.

Standard 4WD buggies with 13.5 turn motor and Blinky ESC setting rules, must weigh in at 1588g minimum.

21.5 FTM 2WD Spec Buggy

This class if for drivers graduating from Sportsman all the way up to experienced veterans.

Competition in this class can only be described as close.

The lower speed of these buggies makes them easier to drive without losing control. 

Beginner drivers usually see their 5 minute pace is faster.

Required motor: Hobbywing Justock 21.5 FTM and Blinky ESC.

We also set the gear ratio for all cars:

Team Associated: 32/72

Other cars: as close to 5.85 final drive ratio as possible

Must weigh in at 1474g minimum.

14.5 FTM 4WD Spec Buggy

This class is for drivers graduating from sportsman all the way to experienced veterans.

Competition in this class can only be described as close.  The lower speed of these buggies makes them easier to drive without losing control and the racing had shown to be a lot tighter.  Beginner drivers usually see their 5 minute pace faster.

Motor required is a Hobbywing Justock 17.5 FTM and Blinky ESC.

We also set the gear ratio for all cars.  Team Associated cars are 25/78.

Must weigh in at 1588g minimum.
